One-Day Internship Courses are available to schools and school districts. The One-Day Training cost covers up to 20 individuals from one school or school district, plus an additional fee per individual for schools with more than 20 participants in attendance. One of the options available to teachers after the training includes the opportunity to register as an intern with Read America, Inc. Interns may take up to six months from the date of their training to fulfill the internship requirements.

During this time, interns have full access to Read America for support.


	One-Day Course Syllabus Nature of the Code Skills for Using the Code The Code Basic Code Reading and Spelling Advanced Code Reading and Spelling Multisyllable Reading and Spelling



		Participants in the One-Day Internship course will receive instruction in presenting fourteen lessons for teaching reading and spelling. There will be a focus on full class instruction including; motivation, class management, and remediation. We will also discuss ideas for extensions of lessons into seatwork, small group work, and homework. The cost of the One-Day Internship Course is $6,000.00 (for up to 20 participants) and includes the cost of training PLUS 20 Word Work Kits. An additional fee of $300 per individual will be added for schools with more than 20 participants. The cost of an upgrade to a full desk or traveller kit is $175.00.
